Updates

The community pages have moved to anoni.net

The community started out on the docs site, so the pages introducing the community, how to take part, events and the services we run all lived under anoni.net/docs. Once the news briefings launched, anoni.net had two projects, yet the community's own introduction was still living inside one of them. The community pages are now back at anoni.net, and the docs and the news briefings sit where they belong, as projects the community runs.

Projects are the content and code the community writes itself. Services are software developed by other open-source projects that the community runs. They are listed separately, so "what has the community made" and "what does the community run that I can use" each have their own entry point.

Every old address on the docs site redirects to the new location, so bookmarks, links in other people's articles and links in past newsletters don't need updating, and the same goes for the onion service. Links that point to a section (the part after #) still land on the same section.

A simpler docs site

The docs sidebar no longer has a Community group. Guides such as setting up a Tor relay are now under "Run a Node", the pages on reading measurement data sit under Regional, and pages about the docs site itself are collected in About the Docs.

Translations, technical analysis and measurement reports still go on the docs blog. Community announcements will be posted here from now on, with an RSS feed. Community posts from before October 2026 stay at their original addresses on the docs site, and the Updates list links to them.
